Alex got quite a few gift cards for his birthday so we took him shopping to see what he would want. You may notice a reoccurring theme from now on of kitchen items with handles (pots, pans, spoons etc) as well as Wendy (his brown blanket with elephants). We named it Wendy because my boss Wendy gave it to me as a baby shower present. That's all there is to that.
We went to a specialty toy store in Campbell called Lakeshore. Alex didn't want to be carried and demanded that Matt put him down. Still unable to walk unaided, he held on to this table as he played ball.
In the end, we didn't get the ball but we found a set of cooking pots and some pretend play food since Alex seemed pretty big on kitchen stuff.
When Alex isn't too tired, we sometimes opt for a shopping cart instead of the stroller. Much better for sightseeing. (That orange thing is one of the pots from Lakeshore). As you can tell by the signature red cart, we also hit up Target, a Willis staple.
Checking out another sing-a-ma-jig. We already have one to drive us crazy, probably don’t need another one.
At Buy Buy Baby we found this diner. Alex was more interested in the frying pan.
After seeing the diner, Matt decided it was time to get real burgers. So we headed off to a Five Guys which is new to us.
Of course, Alex brought his pot. Thankfully the 4 police officers outside deemed it insufficient to be anything other than for 'personal use' and let him off with a warning.
Phew!
