Baseball season started up again so we decided to go to the Kelepouris house and catch some of the Giants game while getting Jake and Alex together for a playdate.
Alex kept trying to use Jake to help him stand up. That didn't work out too well.
Trying to access the forbidden area.
Jake wasn't too sure about sharing mommy.
Hanging out...kinda sorta.
Alex taking Jake's ride for a spin.
Daddy and his little bunny.
And a photo with Mom!
I'm a big boy. Hanging out solo.
Snack time!
Nom nom.
Going for a walk.
Of course, we can't go without Wendy.
Amber and I were really excited to take them out in the wagon. After a few blocks we still weren't sure if they loved it or hated it. I guess we'll have to try again soon.
Since Alex loves cruising and exploring new things we decided to start taking him to the kids play area at the mall. He loves being around other kids. It's a good thing he can play the toddler card. Otherwise it would be considered creepy how he stops everything he's doing sometimes just to stare at another kid.
Here are some of our favorite photos.
All grown up in his jeans.

How do you like my new wheels?
It's nice to be able to go to the mall for a walk and stop by this little area for Alex. Matt and I always get such a kick out of watching our little guy.
April was a pretty hectic month for us. A week after Alex's birthday he came down with a nasty virus. We went for his belated 1 year old check up and unfortunately he couldn't get his injections because he was running a fever and had a sore throat.
For weeks we battled sleepless, cranky nights. On top of it all Alex's molars started coming through. I've read conflicting articles on whether teething and colds go hand in hand. Some say it's an old wives tale but in our case it always seems to ring true.
There were some other unfortunate incidents this month:
-We broke out the steam cleaner a couple of times due to Alex not being able to keep food down. - We had to get our house sprayed for termites. Ick. - Due to miscommunication with the gas company (their fault) they didn't turn on our gas and we had to endure a weekend of no hot water, no heater and a sick kid. - Our cat of 14 years, Mau, passed away after a short battle with feline cancer. We miss her very much. - And Matt had a 911 episode after a night spent in the bathroom, which ended up being a stomach virus.
But as is usually the case we had as much good news as bad...
Alex's new cousin arrived on April 8th. Nicholas Jagdish Turnipseede. He lives in Ohio but hopefully we will be able to meet him this summer.
He's absolutely adorable!
Matt and I celebrated our 3rd wedding anniversary. We went back to the Cypress Hotel and had the same meal we enjoyed the night of our wedding.
And most exciting for us, Alex took his first steps. I can't explain how exhilarating this was for us. I felt like beaming and crying all at once. I miss holding and hugging my baby but love seeing his new found independence. Weight loss, here we come!
